The deal: we provide Holy Quiz, you use it kindly, neither of us pretends it’s anything more or less than what it is.

Contents

1. Your agreement

By creating an account or using the Holy Quiz app or website, you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. You must be at least 13 years old.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. One person, one account. Don’t impersonate someone else or pick a username that’s deceiving, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.

3. Content and conduct

You can comment, react, share, and invite friends. The rules are simple:

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and reproduce your contributions on the service. We can remove content that violates these rules.

4. Our content

Holy Quiz questions, explanations, design, code, brand marks, and curation are our property. You can use the app personally. You can share quiz cards and screenshots. You can’t scrape our question bank, rehost it, or build a competing product on it without written permission.

Scripture itself is, of course, public-domain truth available everywhere. Translation rights for ESV, NIV, NLT, MSG, and others are licensed from their respective rightsholders.

The core daily quiz is free. The optional “Sage” tier (if and when launched) will be billed through the App Store or Google Play according to their standard terms. You can cancel anytime. Refunds follow your store’s policy.

6. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms or pose a risk to the service or other users. We’ll give you notice and a chance to fix things unless the violation is severe.

7. Disclaimers

Holy Quiz is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard to make it accurate and reliable, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly suited to any particular purpose. Bible interpretation, historical context, and dates of authorship are taken from widely-accepted scholarship, but reasonable people sometimes disagree.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of these terms. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD 100.

9. Disputes

If something’s wrong, please contact us via the contact form first — we’ll try to resolve it informally. If we can’t, disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and resolved in courts located in Missoula County, Montana. If you’re a consumer in the EU/UK, this doesn’t override your local mandatory consumer protections.
